Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Orveil. By creating an account, using the Service, or sending galleries through Orveil, you agree to these Terms.

Short version

You keep ownership of your work. You are responsible for what you upload and deliver. You cannot abuse the platform, break the law, or use Orveil to violate someone else’s rights. We may change or suspend parts of the Service, and the Service is provided on an “as is” basis.

1. Eligibility and accounts

Effective date: May 28, 2026
Updated: October 18, 2026. The inactive Free account rule in section 6 takes effect November 15, 2026.
Service: orveil.studio
Contact: hello@orveil.studio

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and in any event at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority, you may use Orveil only with parent or guardian permission.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens through your account unless caused by our own security failure.

2. What Orveil provides

Orveil is the client delivery platform for photographers, filmmakers, and creative studios. Features may include project organization, file storage, photo editing, gallery design and branding, gallery delivery, client favorites and feedback, contracts with electronic signatures, client payments, collaboration, AI-assisted styling, and custom gallery domains on paid plans.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features over time.

3. Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of the files, images, video, text, branding assets, and other content you upload to Orveil.

You give Orveil a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, and back up your content only as needed to operate the Service for you. That license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, subject to ordinary backup and legal retention windows.

4. What you promise when using Orveil

  • You have the rights, permissions, and authority needed to upload and deliver the content you use with Orveil.
  • You will not use Orveil to violate privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.
  • You will not upload unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, or malicious content.
  • You will not attempt to interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Service.
  • You will not use Orveil to send spam, phishing, malware, or other abusive traffic.

To keep the Service safe, uploaded images are screened automatically for illegal or sexually explicit content (Privacy Policy section 4). We may restrict, remove, or report content that violates these Terms or the law.

5. Client delivery responsibilities

If you use Orveil to deliver galleries or invite collaborators, you are responsible for the recipients and for the lawfulness of that communication. You are also responsible for the terms of your relationship with your own clients.

We provide the delivery tooling. We are not a party to your agreement with your clients.

Contracts. Orveil lets you send contracts for your clients to sign electronically and keeps a record of each signature. We do not provide legal advice; you are responsible for the content of your contracts and whether they are suitable and enforceable where you work.

Client payments. If you collect payments from clients through Orveil, they are processed by Stripe through a Stripe account in your name, under Stripe's terms. Orveil keeps a platform fee of 2% of each client payment, in addition to Stripe's own processing fees, and never holds the money: it goes to your Stripe account. We will give notice before changing this fee. You are responsible for your prices, refunds, chargebacks and disputes, and any taxes on what you collect.

6. Plans, storage, and billing

Orveil offers free and paid plans with different storage and feature limits. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or one-time lifetime basis. Plan terms, renewal details, and pricing are disclosed at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; by purchasing a paid plan you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms.

Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and your paid features remain active through the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments and lifetime purchases are non-refundable.

We may limit uploads or usage if your account exceeds the storage or feature limits of your current plan.

Custom gallery domains (Pro and Studio). You may connect a domain you own or control so your galleries are delivered on it. You are responsible for the domain and its DNS records; changes made at your domain provider can take up to 48 hours to take effect, and we do not control your provider. Our hosting provider serves the domain and issues its security certificate. A connected domain shows only your own galleries. If your plan no longer includes custom domains, links on your domain send visitors to the same gallery on orveil.studio; if you remove the domain, links that use it stop working. We may decline or disconnect a domain that infringes someone else's rights or is used to abuse the Service.

Inactive Free accounts (from November 15, 2026). If a Free account is not used for 90 days, we may remove the RAW original files in it (camera RAW formats such as .CR3, .NEF, .ARW and .DNG). Each removed RAW file is replaced by the JPEG version Orveil made of it when it was uploaded, so your projects, galleries and deliveries keep working. We email the account address at least 14 days before anything is removed, and using Orveil at any point before the date in that email cancels the removal. RAW files that have no JPEG version are kept. Other photos, videos and documents are not affected, and neither are paid plans. Removed RAW files cannot be recovered, so keep your own copies of anything you need.

7. Intellectual property in the platform

Orveil, its software, interface, branding, and platform materials are owned by Orveil or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not give you ownership of the Service itself.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, abuse the platform, or if continuing to provide the Service would create material risk to Orveil or others.

You may stop using the Service at any time. If you request account deletion, we will handle your data in line with the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

Orveil is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

AI-assisted features (such as AI styling and generated images) can produce results that are inaccurate or unsuitable; review them before you use them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orveil will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or loss of goodwill arising from or related to the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orveil’s total liability for claims arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Orveil in the 12 months before the claim arose or USD $100.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are written in English. The Orveil interface may be shown in other languages for convenience; if a translation conflicts with the English text, the English text controls, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date and provide notice through the Service or by email where appropriate. By continuing to use Orveil after the updated Terms take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
